We are here to make your vacation to Mal Pais, Costa Rica a memorable one and are happy to help guide you in your daily adventures. We can arrange all activities in advance or upon your arrival.
QUAD (ATV) RENTALS & TOURS - We have quads on site to rent out and can advise you on where to go. A favorite among our guests is going over the "jungle" road to the Montezuma waterfalls. There you will find shops and restaurants to enjoy as well.
CANOPY TOURS (ZIP LINES) - 1 KM from us is the Mal Pais canopy tours. This tour has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. There are also tours in Montezuma with views of the waterfalls. Both are amazing.
HORSE BACK RIDING - We can have horses delivered right here to La Hacienda Tropical where you can ride off into the sunset on the beach or enjoy and early morning ride through the jungle.
SURFING - A favorite among many visitors. Mar Azul - a popular point break is just a short walk from us. Playa Carmen & Santa Teresa just 1 km away offers world class surfing for the beginner to the professional.
Paul offers rides for our guests in our 1969 "classic" Jeep Comanando.
FISHING - Take a fishing tour in a authentic Costa Rican "panga". Our waters are abundant with fish of all varieties. Mahi-Mahi, yellow-fin tuna, mackeral, rooster fish, grouper, red snapper and jack. Fish of the shores of Cabo Blanco Island with our captain, a local who knows the waters and can guide you to the best fishing spots. Enjoy fresh Sushi right a the fishing village as he fillets your fresh catch before your eyes.
SAILING - Take an afternoon sail upon a 30 ft. sail boat. Departs from the fishing village located 1 km from us. The sail is a 3 hour tour along the coast. Feel the exitement of jumping into the exillerating waters while being towed on the "bait line" (just love that name !!)
SNORKELING - The clear waters of Tortuga Island is a 50 min. boat ride along the coast and is surrounded by volcanic rock reef and is the best snorkeling site in Costa Rica.
